SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to HOUSE TAXATION AND REVENUE COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL 14, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Senator William E. Sharer

    1. Strike Senate Tax, Business and Transportation Committee Amendment 14.

    2. On page 1, line 11, after the semicolon, strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 12 through 14 and strike line 15 through the semicolon.

    3. On pages 1 through 14, strike Sections 1 through 7 in their entirety.

    4. On page 18, strike lines 11 through 15 and insert in lieu thereof:

    "SECTION 18. DELAYED REPEALS.--

         A. Sections 2 through 9 of this act are repealed effective January 1, 2030.

         B. Sections 10 and 11 of this act are repealed effective January 1, 2031.

         C. Section 17 of this act is repealed effective July 1, 2029.

    SECTION 19. APPLICABILITY.--

         A. The provisions of Sections 1 through 9 of this act apply to taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2025.

         B. The provisions of Sections 10 and 11 of this act apply to taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2026.

    SECTION 20. EFFECTIVE DATE.--The effective date of the provisions of Sections 12 through 17 of this act is July 1, 2025.".

    5. Renumber sections to correspond with these amendments.
